'Medieval Shoes', new in store and on Spoonflower!

Sites like Spoonflower and Illustration Friday are really proving to be great motivators and sources of inspiration for me when it comes to greating new designs. I really do like being given a topic and/or colour pallette to work with, and being challenged to come up with something original that suits the theme.

This week, it was the new Spoonflower competition, 'Medieval'. This one was a fun little exercise and, thanks to being married to an archaeologist and having a house full of history books, I had a lot of resource material to work with.

My design, 'Medieval Shoes', is a simple one. A random collection of colourful medieval shoe styles on a basic beige geometric background. I really wanted to go for something fun and whimsical, and think this design hit the spot. So...
Remember, you can vote for as many designs as you like. And let me tell you, there are some glorious entries this week!

The design has also been uploaded to Lee Lee and the Bee, and is now available on a wide range of fun and useful products.
